An ARCCH official delegation recently returned to the Musée des Confluences in Lyon, France, and met the museum administration, local representatives as well as Dr. Jean-Renaud Boisserie, missioned by the CFEE, in order to discuss ongoing cooperation in the field of museography. An occasion to briefly trace the history of ARCCH – CFEE cooperation in the domain.

Bourses post-doctorales de la Fondation Croix-Rouge française pour la recherche humanitaire et sociale

La Fondation Croix-Rouge attribue chaque année une dizaine de bourses postdoctorales en sciences humaines et sociales. Cette année, à l’appel général intitulé « Transition humanitaire : les enjeux de l’autonomie », s’ajoutent plusieurs appels spécifiques soutenus par certains de nos partenaires. Ces appels partenaires  proposent des sujets plus précis, dont les objectifs correspondent aux thématiques et réflexions communes à la Fondation et ses partenaires engagés sur la recherche avec les mêmes convictions de sa nécessité. Il est possible de proposer jusqu’à deux candidatures, une pour l’appel général et une pour les autres appels. Toutefois, chaque candidat ne pourra se voir attribuer qu’une seule bourse.

40 years after its creation, SSIA will return to Hargeysa and the Horn of Africa for the first congress in a Somali-speaking territory since 2001.

Berhanou Abebe library of Ethiopian Studies 2017 New Acquisitions

La Bibliothèque d’études éthiopiennes Berhanou Abebe est ouverte sur inscription, de 9h à 17h du lundi au vendredi. L’inscription se fait en bibliothèque auprès des bibliothécaires. Un justificatif de rattachement à une université ou à une institution de recherche, ainsi qu’une photo d’identité, sont demandés. Les personnes désireuses de mener un projet de recherche à la bibliothèque hors du cadre universitaire sont priées de prendre contact auprès du CFEE (secretariat@cfee.cnrs.fr).
The Berhanou Abebe library of Ethiopian studies is open from 9AM to 5PM, Mondays to Fridays. Registration is carried out by the librarians in the library. Applicants shall bring a letter justifying their academic affiliation and an ID photo. Independent researchers (persons without any academic affiliation) willing to carry out a research project in the library should first contact the CFEE (secretariat@cfee.cnrs.fr).
