Announcement of the 2025 CFEE Fieldwork Grant Recipients
The French Center for Ethiopian Studies is pleased to announce the results of the 2025 Fieldwork Grants Call.
Aimed at PhD candidates and MA students, these grants support fieldwork or the study of collections conducted in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa. They align with the CFEE’s scientific mission and its priority research areas, including political dynamics in the region, urban policies, migration, archaeology, and historical relations with the Eastern Mediterranean.
This year, we received a large number (more than ninety) of high-quality applications from Ethiopian, French, and international students. After careful evaluation by a scientific committee, fourteen researchers have been selected to receive partial financial support. Projects were selected based on their scientific quality, academic contribution, and relevance to the CFEE’s research themes.
Each grantee will also have the opportunity to present part of their work right here on our blog Stay tuned, you’ll soon discover more about their field experiences and research insights !
