Call for Abstracts: ICES 20, Mekelle University, October 2018

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The 20th International Conference of Ethiopian Studies (ICES20) is scheduled from 1st – 5th October, 2018 and will be held at Mekelle University, Ethiopia. The committee is now accepting abstracts
through its dedicated website : http://ices20-mu.org/abstract.html

Deadline: 30 November 2017

ICES20 welcomes specialised academic panels to be organised by small groups of researchers active in Ethiopian Studies worldwide. The conference will consist of general thematic panels, offered by the conference organisers, and specialised panels offered by colleagues based on their approval by the academic committee of the ICES20. The organising committee will evaluate the submissions and decide upon its approval, rejection or suggestions for changes based on academic criteria and questions of organisation.

Please submit your abstract using the form on the website. Submission deadline is 30 November 2017. Submission to the conference email account will not be accepted. Please refer to the fifth circular letter for the panel submission guideline.

All the abstracts must be placed under one of the Panels. Please refer to List of Panels for the list and description of the Panels. The Panels with ID that ends with “99” placed under each discipline (0199, 0299, 0399….) are General Panels which are to be prepared by the organizing committee, and thus have no descriptions. If none of the Specific Panels (panels with description) suits your abstract, you could also choose these general panels.
