Exhibition / Book Launch: Walking the City’s Past – June 11, 6:30 pm

EXPOSITION-LANCEMENT DE LIVRE / EXHIBITION-BOOK LAUNCH

An exhibition “Walking the City’s Past” organized by the CFEE will be held at the Alliance Ethio-Française, June 11-23, 2018.

This exhibition will present Addis Ababa Old Piazza. 3 Self-Guided Tours, the third volume of the Ethiopia City Guides series published by the CFEE and Lit Verlag (see our previous post here: cfee.hypotheses.org/2714).

The opening / book launch on June 11, 2018 at 6:30pm will include opening remarks by H.E. Frédéric Bontems, ambassador of France to Ethiopia and the African Union, H.E. Johan Borgstam, ambassador of the European Union to Ethiopia, Ato Henok Teferra, Vice-President of Ethiopian Airlines in charge of Strategic Planning and Alliances, and Mr. Ignace Monkam-Daverat, Director of the Agence Française de Developpement in Ethiopia, then a panel discussion with the guide book illustrator Wondimagegn Gashaw and author Dominique Harre, Mr. Fasil Giorghis (M. Arch. degree), Associate Professor, Chair Holder of Conservation of Urban & Architectural Heritage at EIABC, AAU, and Mr. Ignace Monkam-Daverat, under the chairmanship of Prof. Shiferaw Bekele (historian, ret.).
